WEBSITE DESIGN AND MAINTENANCE
Basic understanding of good website design.
- How to use graphics, text, and video for maximum effect.
- Understand what each page of the website is supposed to accomplish and how best to design for that.
- Understand consistency and contrast, and how to best use each one.
- Some knowledge of SquareSpace, Wordpress, or similar content management/design tool is helpful but not required.


GRAPHIC DESIGN
Understand current basic principles of graphic design for web and print.
- The ability to grab attention with bold, innovative design. We are a church, but we want our look to be current, relevant and exciting.
- Create graphics content for sermon series, announcements, websites, print, and social media.
- Experience using graphic design tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, Affinity, etc.


PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEOGRAPHY
Someone with a passion and skill for capturing great moments as stills and/or video.
- Be present on Sunday services and church events to take photos and shoot video as appropriate.
- Knowledge of the WHEN, WHAT, HOW, and WHY to shoot a photo or video.
- Knowledge of some kind of photo and video editing software (Photoshop, Affinity, Final Cut, etc.) is a big help.


SOCIAL MEDIA
Knowledge of social media platforms Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, etc.
- Knowing which types of posts work best on which platforms, and when to post them.
- How to get the most traction out of a post organically.
- How to target a particular audience.
- Basic understanding of the advertising systems on each platform, mainly Facebook and YouTube, is helpful but not required.


COPY WRITING
Knowledge of how to write effective, compelling copy to create interest and make it easy for readers and website visitors to take action.
- Write interesting copy for blog posts and video scripts that inform, inspire, teach, or just entertain.
- Create copy that is conversational, easy to read, and easy to understand while accomplishing the goal of informing, inspiring, teaching, or entertaining.
