Saying "Thank You" to Holt Local Businesses & Essential Workers

Recently, the Local Impact Team at Holt Christian Church put an activity together to show our appreciation for local businesses and their service to the community during the past year.
The goal of the Local Impact Team ministry is to connect with the people of our Holt Community.
Last year, one thing we did is distribute apples to Essential Workers. This year we wanted to expand this to not only these Holt Essential Workers but to focus on Holt area businesses and their employees.
So, after picking up a pallet of apples at Belle Harvest Jeff Moore, Dan Robinson, and Jim Blair distributed the apples to a number of businesses in Holt. They’d walk in the door, introduce themselves as being from Holt Christian Church and thank them and their employees for serving the citizens of Holt. They then gave a three pound bag of apples for each employee in the business.
It was fun for everyone involved. Many of the locations that got apples last year remembered. They even called Jim Blair “The Apple Fairy!”
Andy Bunnell at Biggby Coffee texted Jim and said: “So excited for the boxes of Apples! I’ll be distributing them to our Team today. You guys are a blessing to the Holt Community.”
Kelly Wriggelsworth, The Director of Great Lakes Christian Homes sent a Thank You card that read: “Thank you so very much for the apple donation to the staff at Great Lakes Christian Homes! It brought a smile to each of our faces! Again, thank you. It is greatly appreciated.”
We LOVE this ministry! We touched 28 local businesses and 444 individuals in the Holt Area this week with the love of Jesus.
A special thanks to Angie Sommers at Belle Harvest for allowing us the chance to obtain very high Quality Apples as well!
